Chapter Eleven

I stood there silent. My breathing intensified. My heart felt like it was about to explode out of my chest. “I, ummm…You want me to suck yo dick?”

Suddenly, Pastor Wilson’s mouth dropped . He frowned. “Excuse me? What did you say?!?”

I grabbed my mouth and quickly apologized. “Oh, I’m so stupid, Pastor Wilson! I’m so sorry, sir! I didn’t mean that. I just—”

“Young lady, I was going to ask if you could work for me full-time!” Pastor interjected with anger still laced in his tone. “I’m a married man. Faithfully married for fifty years!”

“Oh, I’m sorry! I just didn’t. I, ummm, I…It was just the way you said it! And the look you gave me!”

“Ms. Spearman!” Pastor growled as he rapidly shook his head. “Unfortunately, I’m going to have to ask you to leave the premises ASAP. I do not condone that type of behavior or any allusion to it. AT ALL!”

“NO! Please! Pastor Wilson! I didn’t mean that! Please! I really need this job!”

“Ma’am! Please! Just leave! That was totally inappropriate! And I thought you may have learned your lesson and changed your irresponsible ways. You have much to learn about the real world. This is not the streets or the strip club. So, on that note, I’ll have Pastor Wilkins inform your PO of the hours you’ve completed thus far. Have a nice day and immediately see your way out!” he said then quickly stormed out of the office.

I stood there perplexed! I couldn’t believe I just did that stupid shit! BITCH! You are stupid. Tears suddenly escaped my eyes. I ran out of the office and back to my desk.

Rebecca saw me crying and she asked, “What’s wrong?!?”

I didn’t say anything. I just grabbed my shit and left. Fuck this place!
